      MINUTES OF THE October 11th, 2018

      Meeting

      The meeting was called to order in the Kilaga Springs Placer Room at 4:30 pm by President Dean Schumacher.

      Pres. Dean introduced our visitors: Paul & Peggy Schechter and Marge Reed There were 31 members present.

      Minutes : The minutes were posted and approved by the membership.

      Treasurer's Report: Bill Bisson is on vacation and no report this month.

      Sunshine Report: Renee Honnoll not present, out of town..

      Mark Hamilton showed us his leg case as he was attacked at the dog park recently ..Mark we all feel for you and wish you a speedy recovery...

      Membership: Sharlene Zielinski reported we have 3 new families,

      Stoffels,Wongs and Heys this makes 13 new rigs to date for 2018.

      Rallies 2018

      Petaluma: Oct.21st-24th. Wagon Masters are Gail Hamilton & Cara Roberts.So far there are 16 rigs signed up & rally members were leaving within a week of RV group meeting.

      Christmas Party: December 1st. Marilee Swanson chairperson has a lovely evening planned for us all. The invites will go out Nov.1st. The cost will be same as last year, $35 @person and the party is to be held at Turkey Creek Golf Club. There will be Music by Doug Meredith..Cocktails at 5pm and 6pm dinner.The invite is also on line. Reservations are due by Nov. 20th, please call Marilee for further info. Toys for Tots will have a bin available for unwrapped toy donations. Hank Rhodes from Reverse Mortgage will help sponsor our Music and dessert.

      2019 RALLIES

      Rallies that are being planned are:

      January: Malibu / Desert Hot Springs Calif. & Casa Grande AZ.. Wagon Masters are Cara & Eric Roberts.

      JANUARY 28th, arrive Malibu Beach RV Park~ Depart:~ January 31st.

      Caliente Springs RV Resort: Desert Hot Springs: arrive Jan.31st ..depart Feb.3rd and head to Casa Grande AZ.

      Casa Grande AZ-arrive Feb. 3rd and depart Feb.10th Members can go on any or all of this menu of places. Please call Cara & Eric if you are interested so they can determine the number of members who may like to attend this rally. The options are there for whatever part of the Rally you chose. The Wagon Masters need to know soon who is thinking of joining the rally. These places fill up fast in the Fall months as people make their plans for the New Year, January and February are two of the busiest months in Southern Calif and AZ. There is a 20% discount at Palm Creek for first time vistitors. Please call and make your own reservation if you are going to Palm Creek in order to get your discount. You should let the Wagon Master know you are going as to fill out the application for Rally.

      February: Napa, Need a Wagon Master.

      March 18th-22ndSolvang, Wagon Master Margie & Roger Housley. As of the meeting date, Margie is asking for a Co-Wagon Master to assist with the Rally. Please let Margie know if you are able to help!

      RV Park will be Flying Flags near Buellton, There will be wine tasting, shopping, local bakeries etc.

      April 14th-20th: Santa Cruz, Vicki & Coleman White & Marggi Holtze are Wagon Masters. RV Park is in the Felton area near the Santa Cruz Redwoods..

      May 12th-17th Yosemite,Yosemite Lakes RV Park, Groveland. Need Wagon Master! And Co-Wagon Master...

      June/July: Shasta/Bend/Sisters. Cara Roberts has offered to Wagon Master this Rally. Shasta~Abrams Lake RV, Bend/Sisters~Rogue River Valley of the Rogue RV park, Mark & Gail Hamilton have offered to Wagon Master the Rogue River Valley part of Rally. Ken & Marge Klein and Mary& Mark Romo and George and Marilyn Haupert have also offered they would help with portions of the Oregon/Glacier/Calagry Rally. Some of the RV parks planned to visit this trip are as follows : Garden RV Park in Glacier Nat'l Park. Couer D' Alene Blackwell Island Rv Park: There are 13 rigs interested in visiting Calargy and the Stampede. If you are interested go to Calargy Stampede .com and you can see the dates and further information.

      VP Steve Beede pleaded with members to please step up and offer to be Wagon Masters. The club can only function properly and well if

      EVERYONE DOES THEIR PART to make our club a SUCCESS.

      VP Steve and his wife Ann recently toured much of this part of the Country and spent time researching info for our club for this Rally to Oregon,Idaho and Alberta Canada. This should be a beautiful trip for all who attend and with a little help from those attending the trip will be a total success. Please let Steve know if you can go & willing to help along the way....

      August: Graeagle, (north of Truckee), Need a Wagon Master.IF someone doesn't speak up soon, this Rally will be cancelled.

      September 23rd-28th: Marina Dunes, Wagon Masters will be Marilee and Doug Swanson and our new assistant Wagon Masters Linda & Bill Fagan..There are 25 sites reserved. Location is near Fort Ord in Seaside. Please contact the Wagon Masters if you are interested .

      September 30th-Oct. 4Th: California Redwoods at Bendbow RV Park in Garberville. Wagion Master is needed for this Rally.

      October 7th-11th: Please note new date....Escondito , Sharon & Marlowe Skar will be the Wagon Masters. This is Northeast of San Diego.

      December: Christmas Party

      OLD BUSINESS: Election of new officers ~ Dean asked for volunteers to offer their time for the open positions.. As of the meeting, Steve Beede has graciously offered to step up as President for the coming year. Dean thinks he possibly has a member for VP position and Marggi Holtze has offered to be Secretary. Treasurer will be Bill Bisson We need a VP #2 which is helpful for two members to fill this position. Linda Fagan has offered to be Historian .Please let Dean know if you are able to be part of the leadership for next years' club officers.

      NEW BUSINESS: .NONE

      There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 5 :05 pm.
