Lincoln Hills RV Group Minutes
April 11, 2019
The meeting held in Kilaga Springs Placer Room at 4:30 was called to order by President Steve Beede with 34 members present.
President Beede introduced guests, Jack and Ingela Orlove and Marianne and Gerry Morse, who took an application to join.
President’s report: Steve mentioned a Thousand Trails membership for sale. He missed the submission date for the Compass.
Minutes: Minutes were approved as posted online.
Treasurer’s report: The financial report was approved as posted online.
Membership: Since Sharlene Zielinski was out of town, Steve said he has membership applications available.
Sunshine Report: Renee Honnell reported that she sent a card to Dick Naragon who has cancer.
Historian Report: The photos displayed at the Annual Club Fair were displayed on a table during the meeting.
Website Report: Lynda Fagan reported that Ricki Montoya fixed the website.
Rallies: Vice President, Susan Brenden asked for a report on Solvang. Marge Housley said they all had a good time shopping, wine tasting, golfing, biking and they had the club house for the whole week.
Yosemite: There is no wagon master for Yosemite so it is cancelled.
Santa Cruz: There will be 13 rigs going to Santa Cruz, Marggi Holtze reported.
Oregon to Calgary trip: Steve suggested anyone wanting to go to Couer D’Alene should call for space in the RV Park.
Graeagle: August 5-10 Susan announced that she and Larry Brenden will be wagon masters so look for an application coming.
Marina Dunes: September 23-28 Lynda and Bill Fagan will be wagon masters.
Escondido: October 7 – 11 Sharon and Marlowe Skar wagon masters have 16 sites. San Diego is 35 minutes by train to see the Laurence Welk museum, the zoo or to play golf. There is a restaurant and bar on site.
2020 Rallies: Susan Brenden described several ideas like Desert Hot Springs in January, 2021 is possible. Palm Springs has the best weather in January. Shadow Hills RV resort has golf, night-life and many things to do.
Campland RV and Mission on the Bay have space available.
She asked members to write their preferences and additional ideas for places they want to go on the paper placed on the table.
For April, 2020, Susan said Los Vegas has temperatures in the 70s. There is a shuttle to take us into the strip and the RV Park has a meeting room.
We could go to Hoover Dam, Loughlin, or the Grand Canyon where we could go on a raft trip down the Colorado River.
July, 2020: Ashland Oregon has a large RV park with a meeting room and we could go to the theater, music, and golf. On your own, you could go down the Oregon coast.
Susan asked if we would be interested in something we have not done such as the “Old West Road Trip” starting at tombstone, Arizona and traveling 2600 miles with 42 hours of drive time seeing historical sites.
Some members are planning to go to Alaska in summer of 2020. Steve said he has an Alaska road map.
August, 2020 Susan mentioned Graeagle, or the coast.
September, 2020 we could go to Pismo Beach

Steve asked about birthdays and anniversaries and Jim and Jayne Clark celebrated their anniversary.
Steve asked for member’s wants and needs with no response.
Education: Bill and Cheryl Bisson gave an excellent program on Boon docking or Dry Camping.
