February 13, 2020
Call to Order: President Steve Beede called the meeting to order at 4:30 pm with 35 members present.
Steve called for a moment of silence in remembrance of Ed Dillion.
When he asked about new members or guests, Jacquie Kenney introduced herself saying it was the second time she came and will become a member.
President’s Report: Steve mentioned a thank you letter from Toys for Tots.
On a screen set up, Steve posted a flyer he made for the RV Group to be represented in the Association Club Expo Tuesday, February 25. He passed around a sign-up sheet for members to volunteer for certain hours during the day.
Steve asked if there were participants in the Pace-Race, a 5K and 10K race on May 9, from 7:30 am to 12 noon. One member raised her hand. There will be a beer garden, and salsa contest.
Secretary Report: The January meeting minutes by Marggi Holtze were approved as posted online.
Treasurer’s Report: The financial report by Bill Bisson was approved as posted online.
Membership Report: Sharlene Zielinski reported there are three new members this year. Roy Bushey and Vicki Balderama, Craig and Vicki Schoenthal, Bud and Barbara Hunt and Jacquie Kenny.
Sunshine Report: Renee Honnoll was not at the meeting. Steve reported that Susan Brenden broke her ankle so could not give the training session on AED but will do so at the April meeting, if possible.
Historian Report: Lynda Fagan had back surgery so could not give the historian report.
Steve asked members to send photo needed for the scrapbook to Lynda.
Website Report: Ricki Montoya was not at the meeting but Steve reminded us to send photos of couples, smiling, perhaps in front of their rigs to Ricki.
Social: Vicki White talked about the Spring Fling to be held at the Pavilion on Wednesday June 10th. It will be a pot luck with no music from 5 pm to 9 pm.
The December Holiday party will be December 10th at Catta Verdera with Steve Evans for music.
Other Business: Steve said he found out each club could get a free half-page ad for the compass, so he showed the ad he designed. Jayne Clark said each club could also sign up for the display at Orchard Creek lodge.
Rallies: Maureen Williams read Susan’s report on 2020 Rallies.
March 23-28 – Bodega Bay, 7 signed up but there are 3 more spaces. Since there is no wagon master, an email list of participants will be distributed for the members to decide what to do and who will be the point man with the RV resort.
April 20-25 – Las Vegas at the Oasis, 3 have signed up but 9 are available at $52 per night. No wagon Master.
May 30 – Likely at Black Oak, 5 signed up and Michelle Hay will be wagon master.
July 13-18 – Ashland, OR at Blue Heron, 8 have signed up and Cara Roberts will be wagon master.
August 31 – Sept. 5 – Graeagle at Clio, 11 have signed up with 15 reserved spots. The Hamiltons and Roberts will be wagon masters.
September 30 – October 5 – Plymouth Wine Crush, 6 have signed up and all sites are sold. With no wagon master, they will have an email group.
October 22 – 27 – Marina Dunes, 8 have signed up but no wagon master.
RV and Safety Education: Steve said on March 12, harps RV will give a program on sanitizing your RV water tanks.
Wants and Needs: Coleman White said they have steps for sale for $25 and a Honda CRV for sale.
Some else said they have a 2005 Artic Fox for sale and want to buy a 5th wheel and a truck.
A couple brought their RV for sale and it was parked on the street nearby they talk about it and another couple said they would look at it after the meeting.
Marilyn Koregelos brought an embroidered apron to the meeting which Bill Bisson modeled. She asked if the club had any interest in hats, sweatshirts, or jackets with our logo put on. A few said yes.
Steve said the next meeting will be March 12.
