MINUTES OF THE  AUGUST 9th, 2018

MEETING

 

 

The meeting was called to order in the Kilaga Springs Placer Room at 4:30pm by

President Dean Schumacher.

 

Pres. Dean introduced our visitors: Doug & Michelle Hey and  Chuck & Angie

Messner. There were 36 members present.

 

Minutes: The June  minutes were posted online and approved by the members.

The JULY meeting was cancelled.

 

Treasurer's Report: Bill Bisson posted his report online and the membership approved the report. As of meeting 55  members have paid their dues for the coming year.

Sandi Cassieri asked if Bill would explain the Tahoe Rally from two years ago that has a Credit on the books. Bill stated the RV park didn't bill us and we should leave the funds on the books for another year. Bill will then send out to the members who attended that Rally a refund for the Rally.

 

Sunshine Report: No new news.

 

Membership: No new members as of meeting date.

 

Rallies 2018

 

Gold Beach: Jayne Clarke reported on the rally..Everyone really enjoyed their time                                                                 on the Oregon Coast. The Jet boat ride was a total success and  members had fun hiking, touring the small towns near by. The Potluck was great and  the Wagon Masters

Jayne & Jim Clarke and Sharlene & Bob Zielinski  fed us a great  Hot Dog and Chile

dinner one night.

 

Chico: Aug. 28th-31st.Almond Tree RV Park : Wagon Masters are Marlowe & Sharon Skar. As of the meeting they needed 3 more rigs to get the discount. The Rally will

include a tour of Sierra Nevada Brewery and a night at the Theater to see teh play

“Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Also wine tasting.

 

 

 

Petaluma:Oct.21st-24th. Wagon Masters are Gail Hamilton & Cara Roberts.

So far there are 18 rigs signed up. For more info, call the Wagon Masters.

Therer will be more information coming out at the next meeting in July.

The Rally will be held at the Petaluma KOA . The Wagon Masters have been working hard on this Rally and alot of Fun activities are planned.

 

Christmas Party: December 1st. Marillee Swanson & Rosie Eads. More info to come .

 

2019   RALLIES

Pres. Dean  went over the list of suggested Rallies for next year.in the absence of both VP who are traveling!

 

Rallies that are being planned are :

 

January:  Arizona, Carra Roberts offered to be Wagon Master for a Rally hopefully to Berrego Springs or Casa Grande.

 

 February: Napa: Need a Wagon Master.

 

March 18th-22nd: Solvang Wagon Master Margie& Roger Housley. As of the meeting date, Margie is asking for a Co-Wagon Master to assist with the Rally. Please let Margie know if you are able to help!

 

RV Park will be Flying Flags near Buellton, There will be wine tasting,shopping,

local bakeries etc.

 

April 14th-20th: Santa Cruz Vicki & Coleman White are Wagon Masters.

RV Park is in the Felton area near the Santa Cruz Redwoods. Marggi Holtze

has offered to Co~wagon master . Thanks Marggi!!

 

May 12th-17th : Yosemite,Yosemite Lakes RV Park, Groveland. Need Wagon Master!

And Co-Wagon Master...

 

June/July: Shasta/Bend/Sisters.. Carra Roberts has offered to Wagon Master this Rally. Gail Hamilton has offered to assist. BIG THANK YOU to both  ladies !!

 

Shasta~Abrams Lake RV, Bend/Sisters~Rogue River Valley of the Rogue RV park, Garden RV Park in Glacier Nat'l Park.

Couer D' Alene Blackwell Island Rv Park :

 

 

August: Graeagle, (north of Truckee), Need a Wagon Master.

 

September 23rd-28th: Marina Dunes, Wagon Masters will be Marilee Swanson & Rosie Eads.There are 25 sites reserved. Location is near Fort Ord in Seaside.

Please contact Wagon Masters if you are interested .

 

September 30th-Oct. 4Th: California Redwoods at Bendbow RV Park in Garberville. Wagion Master is needed for this  Rally..

 

November 11th -21st: Escondito , Sharon & Marlowe Skar will be the Wagon Masters.

This is Northeast of San Diego.

 

December: Christmas Party

 

OLD BUSINESS: Train ride in OLD SACRAMENTO, Lenny Cassieri  is a Volunteer train Engineer in Old Sac and arranged a train ride and tour of the Train Muesum for our members. Julie Africa spoke regarding the tour etc. She thank Lenny on behalf of the club for a FUN PACK day in Old Sac. There were 20 members in attendance.

 

NEW   BUSINESS: President Dean asked for a nominating committee to help with finding new officers for the coming term 2019.

The President  position is open as well as 2 Vice Pres. And a Secretary as Linda is termed out. We will also need a Historian.

If anyone is willing to help with this committee please call our President Dean and let him know. If anyone is intrested in filling one of these postions please let Dean know asap. Many thanks . We need officers to have a cllub!!!

 

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at  5pm
