Business:

President’s Report:

Steve called Vicki White to report on the Holiday party.  She said there had been some talk about getting another place for the Christmas party so she called Catta Verdera and booked Thursday, December 10 for this year’s party.  It will be a buffet.

In her discussion about the Spring Fling, she said she and Coleman would be gone until mid-June. Steve asked the members if they wanted it in May or June, and June won the vote.  Sharon and Marlowe volunteered to help Vicki plan the party in the Pavilion in mid-June.

Secretary’s Report:  Steve called for approval of the minutes prepared by Marggi Holtze and posted online.  Minutes were approved.

Treasurer’s Report:  Bill Bisson asked for a vote to approve the Financial reports for November and December as posted online.  Reports were approved.

Membership Report:  Sharlene Zielinski was not present.

Sunshine Report:  Renee Honnoll said she sent a card to the family of Dick Naragan when he passed away.

Historian:  Lynda Fagan said the photos of the couples at the Christmas party were posted online.  Steve reminded us gallery photos were needed, prefer couples.

Website Report:  Ricki Montoya was not present.

Rallies:  VP Susan Brenden was not present so Steve presented boards of the 2020 Rallies and another board of the 2021-2022 proposed rallies.  He asked people to come up and make a mark with his pens on places they would like to go.  He emphasized this is our club.

March 23-28 – Bodega Bay

April 20-25 – Las Vegas Oasis

May    - Likely, CA

June – Lake Tahoe?

July 13-18 – Ashland, OR

August 31 – September 5 – Clio/Graeagle

September 30 – Oct. 5 – Plymouth Wine Crush

October 22-27 – Marina Dunes

Educational Presentations:

Steve said in January will be “How to be a Wagon Master”

February:  AED Training and Schedule – Susan Brenden

March:  Sanitizing your RV water tanks – Harp’s

April:  Maintaining your Vehicle - TBA

Bill Bisson gave an excellent talk on the Wagon Master Guidelines.  He said there are 69 rigs in the club so we should be able to get a wagon master.  Each RV Park needs to have a club representative to talk to.  There are different park requirements.  The wagon master collects the money, applications, and on the rally, you can do as much or as little as you want.

Steve asked someone to volunteer to be wagon master for Bodega Bay.  Nobody volunteered.  He said if you want to go, find the others who are going and talk among yourselves who can be wagon master with a co-wagon master.  Otherwise the trip will be cancelled.

Cara Roberts said wagon masters had volunteered for Likely, Ashland and Plymouth.  She had volunteered for two on them.

Of the several new members who signed up to go to Bodega Bay in March, none had experience being wagon master.

Celebrations:  Eric Roberts and Steve celebrated birthdays on January 25; Marlowe on January 4.  Dean and Betty Schumacher celebrated their 38th anniversary.

To answer the question about how long we can park our RVs in front of our houses – it is 48 hours, not 72 or three days.

Thought for the Day:  If you’ve never been a Wagon Master, volunteer anyway.  Experienced members will come alongside you to assist with any questions or concerns and help you have a wonderful Rally.

The next meeting date is February 13, 2020.

Meeting adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

Marggi Holtze, Secretary
