MINUTES
1. Call to Order (George Slaats) – the meeting was called to order at 4:31 p.m. There were 39 members in attendance.
2. Welcome Guests (George Slaats) –There were no guests in attendance.
3. Approve Minutes of February 12, 2026 (George Slaats)
a. Motion to approve the minutes of February 12, 2026 was made by Mary Romo and seconded by John Aimar. Motion passed.
4. Approve Treasurer’s Report for February, 2026 (George Slaats)
a. Motion to approve the February 2026 Treasurers Report was made by Mary Romo and seconded by Karen McGraw. Motion passed.
5. Membership Report (Cara Roberts) – George reported that we currently have 99 members.
6. Sunshine Report (Cyndy Mason) – George reported that Dean Shumaker is in the hospital with a fractured femur. Cyndy will send a card from the club.
7. Historian Report (Ron Darville) – no report at this time. Mary Romo entertained the group with RV related multiple choice questions.
8. Social Chair Report - Terri Slaats reported that the Spring Fling will be on April 30, 2026. It will be a Hoedown with food catered by Back Forty Texas BBQ. Invitations will be coming out soon.
9. Vice President Report for Rallies - Gary McGraw reported on the upcoming rallies:
a. 2026 Rally Updates
i. Jackson Rancheria 3/19 - 3/24/26 – Wagon Masters
Gary and Karen McGraw and Rick and Aymara Myers.
This rally is full with 52 of the 99 members going.
ii. Paso Robles 4/9 - 4/14/26 – Wagon Masters – Steve
and Debra Romeo and Dan and Kathy Herbert. Dan
Herbert reported there are many activities planned.
This rally is full with 21 rigs going.
iii. Angels Camp 5/6 - 5/11/26 - Wagon Masters Steve and Ann Beede and Al and Maggie Giuliani. This rally is still open. If interested, contact one of the Wagon Masters.
iv. Central Point, Oregon 6/10 – 6/15/26 – Wagon Masters Ron Lunsford and Diane Bergeron and Joe and Theresa Gomes. Joe reported there are many activities planned including Hellgate Boat Tour on the Rogue River, golf at the Centennial Golf Club, dinner out, wine tasting with the owner at the Valley View Winery and a private tasting with the owner at Del Rio Winery as well as many opportunities for hiking, biking, shopping, and
exploring the area. The campground is near the
Jackson County Fairgrounds. There are still a few spots
for this rally. Contact one of the Wagon Masters for
information.
v. Heber City, Utah 8/22 – 8/29/26 – Wagon Masters Jake and Pam Baker and Craig and Mary Carbrey. This rally is full.
vi. McCloud 9/21 – 9/25/26 – Wagon Masters are still
needed for this rally. Contact Gary McGraw if you are
interested in leading this rally. Possible activities
include Burney Falls, hiking, golf at Mt. Shasta Resort,
downtown McCloud and downtown Mt. Shasta. Rally
application will be out soon. The campground requires
list of names of who will be attending by May 31 and
reservations by June 15.
b. 2027 Rallies:
i. Emerald Desert RV Resort, Palm Desert 2/23 – 2/28/27 – Wagon Masters – Steve and Debra Romeo and Gary and Karen McGraw. There are 20 sites reserved at a cost of $90/night. There is a meeting room and the park has many amenities and will do special events for our group. Application has been sent out. Juan is contact person and reservations need to be made by 4/30/26. Contact Wagon Masters for more
information.
ii. Pueblo El Mirage RV and Golf Resort, Arizona 2/28 –
3/5/27 – Wagon Masters – Steve and Debra Rome and
Gary and Karen McGraw. There are 20 sites reserved
at $85/night or $598/week if you want to stay longer.
There is a 10% discount for our group and also a 15%
discount for Veterans. There is a meeting room
available and the park has many amenities. Spring
Training is the highlight of this rally with 4 ballparks
nearby. Applications are out. Sites must be reserved
individually – Wendy is the contact. Sites must be
reserved by 4/30/26 with a 50% deposit required.
iii. Napa 4/13-4/18/27 – Napa Valley Expo and RV Park – Ron Lunsford and Diane Bergeron and John and Cindy Aimar are Wagon Masters. Don’t have a lot of
information yet. Applications are not out, but they are
holding sites for us. Gary will send information out in
the next month or so. Reservations will be made
online individually.
iv. Other rallies in the works for 2027 with more
information to come:
1. May – Black Oak Casino
2. July – Bend, Oregon
3. August – Bodega Bay
4. September – Pismo
5. October – Grass Valley
v. Clipboards are out for interest signups.
10. Unfinished Business (George Slaats)
a. Name Tags – Members were able to pick up the new name tags at the meeting. There are 2 name tags for each member – one on a magnetic clip and one that is double sided to attach to a lanyard. Both name tags have the new club logo and names in large print. For members not at the meeting, name tags can be picked up at the LHRVG table at the Lifestyle Club & Community Expo on 4/1 from 10-1 in the Orchard
Creek Ballroom.
b. AED Training and Certification – AED training is scheduled for Friday, March 13 from 12:00-3:00 in the Orchard Creek Computer Room. There are 7 members signed up. The club will pick up the cost for training.
11. New Business (George Slaats)
a. George reported the LHRVG will have a table at the annual Lifestyle Club and Community Expo on Wednesday April 1, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Orchard Creek Ballroom. George and Gary McGraw will be at the table to talk about our club. They will have the rally poster boards that Ron Darville has created.

13. Adjournment – Motion to adjourn the meeting was made at 4:55 p.m. by John Aimar and seconded by Bill Fagan. Motion passed.
