MINUTES

1. The meeting was called to order by President George Slaats at 4:34 p.m. There were 34 members and no guests in attendance.

2.  Welcome Guests - George Slaats.  There were no guests in attendance.

3.  Approve Minutes of April 9, 2026 - George Slaats
a.  Motion to approve the corrected minutes of the April 9, 2026 meeting was made by Al Giuliani and seconded by Frank Mason. Motion passed.

4.  Approve Treasurers Report of April, 2026 - George Slaats
a. George reported that included in the April expenses is $160.00 for 8 members to go through the AED training.
b. Motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report for April, 2026 was made by Jake Baker and seconded by Ron Hartman. Motion passed.

5. Membership Report (Cara Roberts)
a. Cara Roberts reported there are 50 rigs and 97 members in the club at this time.

6. Sunshine Report (Cyndy Mason) – Cyndy reported that she sent a Get Well card to Georgle Slaats following his hip surgery. She also asked club members to let her know if they hear of anyone in the club that she should send a card to.

7. Historian Report (Ron Darville) – Ron asked those who attended the Angels Camp rally to send him pictures for the picture board.

8. Social Chair Report (Terri Slaats) – Terri reported that the Spring Fling was well attended and all agreed it was a very fun time. Terri thanked all those who helped with the event - Diane Bergeron for the invitation and welcoming everyone as they came in; Vicki White for the line dancing; John and Cindy Aimar for Norman the
steer and the ring toss game; and Steve Beede for the great music.
Next event is the Christmas Party on December 15th.

9. Vice President Report for Rallies (Gary McGraw)
a. 2026 rally updates
i. Just finished two great rallies – Paso Robles and Angels Camp. Gary complemented and appreciated the
Wagon Masters for the great rallies and reported that
there would be more discussion of the Wagon Master
role in the future.

ii. Central Point, Oregon Central Point, Oregon –– 6/10 –– 6/15/26 –– Wagon Masters Ron Lunsford and Diane Bergeron and Joe and Theresa Gomes. There are still some spots left.  There are still some spots left. If interested contact the Wagon Masters.

iii. Heber City Utah 8/22 –– 8/29/26 –– Wagon Masters  Jake and Pam Baker and Craig and Mary Carbrey.  This rally is full.

iv. McCloud 9/21  –– 9/25/26––  This is the last scheduled rally for 2026.  There are no Wagon Masters for this rally yet.  The application went out to members last week.  Applications need to get back to Gary as soon as possible as the RV park is requesting that Gary send names and email addresses by 6/1 and then after that participants can call and make their their reservations.  Gary recommended going online and looking at the RV  park website and the virtual tour of the park.  There is lots to do in the area including Mt. Shasta, Burney Falls, golf at several courses nearby  and the Upper, Middle and Lower Falls on the McCloud River are close to the RV park.

b. 2027 rallies

i. Emerald Desert RV Resort, Palm Desert  2/23--2/28/27 –– Wagon Masters Steve and Debra Romeo and Gary and Wagon Masters.  Steve Romeo reported there are 22 rigs signed up and although the registration window had closed in April, could probably still add a couple of  rigs. Contact Steve or Gary if interested.

ii. Pueblo El Mirage RV and Golf Resort, Arizona  2/28--3/5/27––  Steve Romeo reported there are 16 or 17 rigs signed up at this time.  There may still be room for a couple of more rigs.  Contact Steve or Gary if interested.  Highlights of this rally are golf and Spring Training baseball.  Gary mentioned that the cost to stay a week at the weekly rate is about the same as the 5 days so some are planning to stay a week.

iii. Napa Valley Expo Napa Valley Expo RV Park RV Park (at the fairgrounds)  4/13--4/18/27  –– Wagon Masters Ron Lunsford and Diane Bergeron and John and Cindy Aimar.  Application will be out soon be out soon.

iv. Black Oak Casino  5/16 /16 –– 5/21/27 --  Gary is in discussions with the RV park and needs to know if there is interest in a rally there before he goes any further. Indicate your interest on the clipboard or contact Gary.

v. July 2027  -- Looking for something on the Coast.

vi. Little Bear RV Park, Blairsden/Graeagle 8/8 8/8 --8/13/27 –– Gary just booked this today so more information to come.  Twenty sites are being held.

c. Other

i. Wagon Masters  –– at the end of a rally,  please send all of of the the signed rally applications to Gary.  The club will hold on to them for a  period of time.

ii.  Wagon Masters are reminded to get the AED machine to take on every rally and let participants know where it is it is at all times.

iii.  We still have about a half a dozen of the club placards for the back of the rig.  The cost is $30.00 and it comes with a set of mounting brackets.  See Gary if interested.

10. Unfinished Business (George Slaats)

a.  Profile Picture -- If you have not provided a profile for the website,  please send a photo in JPEG format to Webmaster Robyn Kain.

b.  Report on LHRVG participation in the SCLH annual Club and  Community Expo on April 1, 2026 ––  George reported that there were there were 3 or 4 couples that expressed interest in our group who will hopefully join during this year.

11. New Business (George Slaats) –– There was no new business.

12. Open Comments(All)

a. Diane Bergeron is interested in looking into an RV group cruise and she would like to know who would be interested.  She would keep it domestic and probably a river cruise in She would keep it domestic and probably a river cruise in 2027 or 2028.  Anyone who is interested contact Diane.

b. Frank Mason reported that on the way back from a rally recently his  trailer brakes failed and he narrowly avoided an accident. When he got home, there was a notice of a Ford recall for the trailer brake module for  2003--2021 Fords.  Frank encourages anyone with an affected model to talk to the dealer.

c. Howard Stubblefield recounted an incident when a vehicle in front of him stopped without notice and with no lights or flashers and almost caused an accident.  He encouraged everyone to leave even more distance between you and the car ahead as you travel.

13.  Adjournment

a.  Motion to adjourn was made at 4:57 p.m. by Mindy Emmons and seconded by Cyndy Mason. Motion passed.
