  1. CALL TO ORDER: Mary Romo called the Meeting to Order at 4:35.
  2. WELCOME NEW MEMBERS:

A. Frank & Cyndy Mason just joined in March. They have a 26 ft Cougar Trailer III.WELCOME GUESTS:

A. No Guests.

  1. MEMBERS PRESENT: We had 40 members present.
  2. PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES:

A. A motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting on March 10, 2022 that were posted on line was made by Al Giuliani and Seconded by Mindy Emmons.

  • REPORTS
  1. Treasurer’s Report: A motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report as posted on line was made by Mike Romo and Seconded by Bill Fagan.

Report from Maureen: Maureen asked if anyone still needed to be reimbursed for the CPR/AED Training.

  • Membership Report (Sharon Skar): We have 2 new members for March. They are Frank & Cyndy Mason, who are present and Kevin & Cathy McPhillips, not present.
  • Sunshine Report: Gerri Samsel was not present. Mary Romo asked if anyone knew of someone who might need a card. There was no response.

  • Historian Report (Ron Darville and Mindy Emmons)

Ron has volunteered to take pictures of members at our meetings and will be posted on our website.

  1. April 24 – 29th, Pismo Coast Village RV Resort. Wagon Masters Bill & Lynda Fagan and Doug & Marilee Swanson.

  • May 15 – 20th, Pomo RV Park, Fort Bragg. Wagon Masters: Phil & Judy Hayden and Paul & Barbara Virsaitis.

  • June 12 – 17, Coachland RV, Truckee. Wagon Masters: Coleman & Vicki White (Not present): . Steve Beede related that they had signed up and paid for the original rally last year but are unable to attend this year. Contact Steve at (916) 752-6972 if you are interested in going.
  • August 15 – 20 Yellowstone Holiday Resort. Wagon Masters: Tom & Sue Moe (Not Present) .
  • September 10 -27, Rally to Olympic National Park in Washington. Wagon Masters: Marlowe & Sharon Skar and Mike & Mary Romo. We have one opening and there may be another couple that may not be able to go. You can contact Sharon if you want to go. Phone # (916) 434-7799; email: [email protected]

G. Mary related that November 9 – 14 there is a pickle ball rally at Indian Waters RV Resort in Indio. If interested, contact Cara Roberts at (925) 330-9397. Howard Stubblefield added that a stop at Borrego Springs RV Resort, either before or after the rally would be well worth it. They have an exceptional RV resort.

  • OLD BUSINESS
    • Mary reported that the Club Expo went very well. Some membership applications were handed out.
  • July 14th meeting will be at Orchard Creek in the Fine Arts Room at 4:30. THERE WILL BE NO APPETIZERS.
  1. NEW BUSINESS:
    1. Mary asked that members go on our website and review our By-Laws, Policies and Wagon Master Responsibilities. Any suggestions for improvement can be give to Mary or Sharon. The Board will be reviewing these documents also.
  • Mary related that one of our new members, Linda Heiner has volunteered to organize and add another category to our Website. This would be “Recommended RV Parks/Camping”. It would be a list of places that members have been at while traveling and would recommend. These would not be the organized Rallies that our Club does each year.
  • OPEN COMMENTS:

Mark Hamilton was going to do a presentation on, “When and How to Sanitize your RV. However, Mark was unable to be at the meeting. Mary handed out some checklists (See Atch) that our previous President, Steve Beede had put together.

Howard Stubblefield related that another good source for information on RVs was the Harps RV Repair in Lincoln.

Sharon Skar also related that the Sacramento Valley RV by the Lincoln Airport is another good source. Several of our members have used them and happy with their service.

Another suggestion was the Sacramento Truck Center. However, they just work on Class A’s and diesel only.

Maggie Giuliana asked if there was going to be a presentation sometime about ideas for inside the motorhome; this had been brought up at our last meeting. Ron Darville volunteered to put together a pamphlet from ideas he gets from YouTube.

Craig Carbrey asked if anyone had issues with foggy windows and had any suggestions for repairs. Mary Romo related that there was a mobile van in her neighborhood regarding foggy windows. However, she has no other information.

Roy Bushey brought up the issue of catalytic converters being stolen while they are in storage, and even here in Lincoln Hills. Al Giuliana volunteered to put together some information on protecting your catalytic converters.

Mary related that she and most of the Board will not be present for the May meeting. Steve Beede volunteered to run the meeting.

  • CELEBRATIONS:

A. Birthdays, Anniversaries, New Rigs, Others –

Steve & Patty Holderfield have a new 2022 Outdoor Timber Ridge 28 ft travel trailer. Sharon Skar related that there is a tradition of having an open house with champagne at your first rally with your new RV. They will be at the Pismo Beach Rally and continuing on with the tradition.
