touring the Wrigley Ballroom, etc.
vii. Bonelli Bluffs RV Resort: December 28 – January 3. Steve
Beede reported the main focus of this rally is attending the
Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena. Grand stand tickets
are available for the parade as well as pre-parade events such
as the float building, marching band previews, and equine

and Indian Waters afterwards on an informal basis.

b. Report on 2024 Rallies
i. Catalina Spa RV Park: February 8 – 15. Cara and Eric Roberts

extension to Lake Havasu will not occur as the music festival is
not available that was the focus of that trip.

wagon master assisted by Mary and Craig Carbrey. Mary
reported there are 20 sites available. The park is located 20
minutes north of Redding. Excursions include going to Burney

also mentioned that Cool April Nights, a car show, is held in
Redding at this time of the year.
iii. Flying Flags Resort, Buellton – May 13 -17. Robyn Kain and
Janet Phillips are the wagon master assisted by Mike and Mary
Romo. The contract has been secured for 14 sites plus one site
as the rally party center as the club house rate was very
expensive. Robyn received several positive responses to her
email asking for club members interested in attending. She will
work on creating the rally application form in September.
iv. Clio Rivers Edge RV Park, Clio: June 16 – 21. Frank Mason and
Roy Deeble reported that the alternate location in Quincy was
not available so the rally will be at Clio. This RV park does not
provide group reservations so each rig must make their own

used for pop up tents. Many amenities are available including
a pool, casino, golf, etc.
viii. Balloon Festival, Albuquerque, NM: September 20 – October
10. This is a longer rally starting from home through Nevada
and Utah to New Mexico. There are several stops at national
parks including Zion, Bryce, and Grand Canyon. The group will
meet the night before near the balloon festival grounds so that
they can enter together so the rigs are grouped together.
There are 11 rigs signed up, room for one more. After the
festival, everyone is to arrange their own route to their next
destinations.

10. Unfinished Business
a. AED/CPR Classes – Mary Romo reminded club members to keep
checking the Compass magazine for upcoming dates and to sign up
online.
b. Roster Distribution – Robyn Kain stated that she sent out an email
today informing members how to access the roster on the club
website. It is password protected which will be changed periodically.
The roster will be kept updated on line. The email has instructions on
how to view the roster, there are tabs for printing it too. It is
important to keep the password secure for club members only.
c. Social Membership Discussion – comments were made by a few
members concerning the proposed wording for the Social
Membership. When this item was proposed a few months ago, there
was overwhelming support for this new classification. Comments at
the meeting concerned whether there would be room for social
members at rallies, if it would create additional work for wagon
masters. The Board will consider these comments and bring the item
back for further consideration at a later date.

11. New Business - none

12. Open Comments
a. Street parking limitation was discussed by the group. A vehicle is not
supposed to be parked at the curb at night due to concerns over
emergency vehicle access. It was noted that the streets are owned
by the City of Lincoln and are designed for emergency vehicles
accessibility. There is also a 48 hour parking restriction for RV
vehicles which is less than the City of Lincoln statutory limit of 72
hours. It was noted that the SCLH security service is patrolling at late
hours looking for improper parking and issuing citations, but not fines
at this time.

13. Adjournment: A motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:39 p.m. was made
by Vicki White, seconded by Craig Carbrey; motion was passed.
