Activities include going to the Mendocino Botanical Gardens led by a docent; a lighthouse tour led by a docent; dinner at an Italian restaurant; and a group dinner in the clubhouse with pulled pork prepared by the Wagon Masters. The Rally is full. Those with travel trailers may want to consider taking Highway 128 over to the coast as Highway 20 to Fort Bragg is quite steep and curvy.

- OLD BUSINESS
- The July 14th meeting is scheduled to be at Orchard Creek in the Fine Arts Room at 4:30 p.m. However, since there is no kitchen in the room, no appetizers can be brought to the room. It has been suggested that we have the meeting at McBean Park with appetizers after the meeting. A reservation could be made at the park for an area with tables. This meeting could also be the groups’ summer outing.
- Updating our By-Laws, Policies, and Wagon Master Responsibilities. The Board will be reviewing these documents. These are posted on our website that you can review. If you have any suggestions, send them via email to Mary Romo (email on roster).
- Update from Vicki and Cara on planning the 2023 rallies. Cara reviewed the rallies taking shape for next year. She noted they are trying to keep the rallies within 200 miles given the rising cost of fuel. It was also noted that new wagon masters are need, please consider partnering with someone else to learn how to be a Wagon Master.
- April 2nd – Lodi Wine Festival. Stay at Flag City RV park along I-5 for $85/night or at Yogi Bear for $125 night.
- June 18th – Crater Lake and Sisters, Oregon. May also stay at Mt. Shasta on the way or the way back. Also looking at RV Parks at Diamond Lake, Sisters Garden or Creekside campgroup.
- August 6th – Hot August Nights in Reno, Nevada. Vicki is looking into RV parks to stay at nearby. Then move the Rally to Clio near Graeagle.
- September 10th – Yosemite Lakes RV Park
- October 7th – Renaissance Fair at Casa de Fruta. Also looking at a stay in Watsonville near the KOA Santa Cruz, near Sunset Beach too.
- Spring 2023 – Palm Desert, looking at a week long stay to get a better rate. It was noted that those who went to Catalina Park at the recent rally, that some persons got a better rate booking individually than with the group, so this is something to take into account as we set up rallies.
- AED Training – Mary is working on getting a new class for our members. Six persons have already been trained. The last class information was reviewed and it is highly recommended that more of our group receive the training as you could save a life for someone one day.
- RV Open House – we will be working with SCLH for the Open House event next year to allow us to park some of our trailers and coaches for visitors to view and generate interest in our club.
- Holiday Party – will be held at Orchard Creek this year. The pricing is much more affordable.
- NEW BUSINESS
- Considering changing the membership dues to one fixed payment, which is now $25 per household, whenever you join throughout the year. Currently, the dues are prorated throughout the year which creates a lot of bookkeeping to track what was paid and when. The group consensus was to have an annual flat rate membership fee.
- COMMENTS & SUGGESTIONS
- Eric Roberts – provided information on RV cleaning. Blue Beacon is a company that cleans big rigs and RVs that is co-located with Flying J stations and at other locations along the highways. Their information will be added to the website. Their rates for rig washing is very affordable. Prices cited were $35 for up to a 30’ motorhome, over 30’ is $42, tow cars $18. They can also apply waxes or other finishes for an additional fee. The wash does not include roof cleaning. They are open 24/7. You can look them up at BlueBeacon.com to find their locations.
- A Garage Sale/Swap Meet for RV members was suggested.
- FMCA membership – this group was recommended for their road service program at $60/year. It includes them returning your coach to your home location with no mileage limitation; covers travel trailers too; a suggestion was made for a more complete presentation.
- Gas Saving Ideas – Raley’s has 50 cents off gas promotion; FMCA has gas program for diesel fuel.
- A suggestion was made to have a trip of the month shared by members of trips taken.
- A suggestion was made to post the trip itineraries for group members to see.
- A request was made for RV repair places that are good to use; Sacramento Valley RV was recommended.
- CELEBRATIONS
- Birthdays, Anniversaries, New Rigs, Other: Vicki and Coleman White celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary by taking a river cruise through Europe and had a great time.
- ADJOURNMENT/APPETIZERS: The meeting was adjourned and the group convened for appetizers for all to share.
