MINUTES

  1. Call to Order (Jake Baker) – the meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. There were 28 club members present.
  2. Welcome Guests (Jake Baker) – Jake welcomed new members Tim and Annette Loria. Tim attended the meeting last month and submitted their membership application at the meeting.
  3. Membership Report (Cindy Aimar)
    a. Jake indicated Cindy is absent this meeting. Our membership is up to 126 members comprised of 62 households.
  4. Approve Minutes of June 12, 2025 (Jake Baker) - a motion was made by Bill Bisson to approve the minutes, seconded by Steve Beede. Secretary Robyn Kain mentioned two corrections to the minutes after they were distributed: there were 22 persons at
the Minden rally (instead of rigs) and Treasurer Patty Holderfield
will be away the month of July (not August). Motion passed.
  5. Treasurer’s Report of June, 2025 (Jake Baker) - A motion to
approve the financials was made by Diane Bergeron, seconded by
    Roy Deeble. Motion passed.
  6. Sunshine Report (Cyndy Mason) – In Cyndy’s absence, Jake asked
if any cards needed to be sent to anyone – none were
    mentioned.
  7. Historian Report (Ron Darville) – Ron brought a display of the
Alberqerque Balloon Fiesta from last October and the Grass
Valley Rally this past April. The pictures were very good and
showed how much fun everyone had.
    a. RV Trivia Question – Jake Baker filled in for Mary Romo and
challenged the group with several RV related questions,
prompting much discussion over the answers.
  8. Social Chair Report (Diane Bergeron) – No new report from Diane
other than the Holiday Party is scheduled for December 21st.
  9. Vice President Report for Rallies (Ron Lunsford)
    a. 2025 Rally Updates
    i. Vicki White reported on the Minden, Nevada rally last
month that included a ranch picnic, a prison tour, an
Indian school for children to convert to Western
conventions, visit to a distillery and exploring the
Genoa area. The museum tour was very information
and they had a great docent. A very good rally overall.
ii. Ken Brenk reported on the changes to the August rally
originally scheduled at Lake Siskiyou Campground. Ken
and Marilyn decided to go stay there just recently and
discovered many problems with the campground
layout and accomodations for the group. Many assigned camp spots were too small for the assigned rig, many were very unlevel, and they were spread out all over. If the assignments had been in the 300 section, as requested, it would have been much easier to work with. After much thoughtful discussion with the Assistant Wagonmasters Richard and Glenda Beckler and Vice President Ron Lunsford, it was decided to relocate the rally to the KOA Park in Mt. Shasta City. The KOA park has been upgraded and now is a nice facility, even has a pool, along with a club room that the group can use, along with picnic tables for the group. The rally application was re-sent recently and spots are still open to sign up. The itinerary will remain basically the same, and there are several fun things planned with some surprises! Sign up now!
iii. In September, there is a rally at two locations. The first is at Pismo Beach and the camp spots are full with 4 persons are on the wait list. The next part of the rally is to Mission Bay RV in San Diego. Space is still available but must be reserved by August 1st, or the park will release the sites to the public. Many fun activities are planned including time on the bay with a pontoon boat. Patty will be gone in July but Ron Lunsford will take applications for Patty.
iv. Ron Lunsford has prepared a rally application for the November rally in Vacaville which he brought to the meeting. He has lots of information ready to go for the area as he has been on rallies to this location many times. Vicki and Coleman White volunteered to be the Wagon Masters for the rally, and Ron Darville and Mindy Emmons will be the Assistants.
    b. Ideas for 2026 rallies – Ron explained that he has set up the interest sheets for people to sign if they are interested in the
tentative schedule locations – this is not a commitment but just an indication for planning purposes. For the May 2026 tentative rally in Angels Camp, he found out that the site fee will go up to $150 per night during the Frog Jumping contest, so he is going to look at changing the dates. Other locations include Jackson Rancheria - March; Paso Robles - April; Central Point, Oregon - June; Fort Bragg, Pomo RV – June; Heber City, Utah – August/September; and Clio/Graeagle - October; Ron will continue to work on these locations. Wagon Masters are needed for each rally, contact Ron to let him know if you want to assist.
    c. RV Plaques for your rigs are still available at $30 each and includes mounting hardware – contact Ron is you wish to purchase one.
    10. Unfinished Business (Jake Baker) – Jake reminded club members to submit a traveling picture of themselves so it can be posted to the website. Pictures should be sent to Robyn Kain for posting.
    11. New Business (Jake Baker) - None
    12. Open Comments (All)
    a. Robyn Kain suggested that the club should regularly hold AED training every fall and spring so that club members can keep their certificates current. Right now, there are several members she knows of who no longer have a valid certificate.
    13. Adjournment - A motion to adjourn the meeting at 4:52 p.m. was made by Vicki White, seconded by Dale Petersen. Motion passed.
